Mindmap summary of The One Thing

Takeaway : The Book’s Mantra is to put all our focus on a single task to

get extraordinary success in a field.

My experience :

I was feeling that something was missing in my life. I was searching for

that one thing. After reading this book and doing above exercise I

realised that I need a medium to express my feelings and experience and

to help others who want improve their life by reading book summaries or

books. Then I gotta idea to make Mind Map summaries with questions

and to do list. Mindmap summaries present information in concise &

connected way and are very similar to the way our mind store and

analysis information. Questions and to do list provide an easy and

necessary tool to implement that information in our daily life. Right

questions provoke our mind in the right direction. Our mind starts to

search all right answers and present a lot of possibilities. Our job is to

pick the most favourable possibility, decompose the task in tiny steps and

put those steps into our to do list.

Exercise to change your life

1. Read this blog and list all the things you want to do in your life or you should do are you should have done it?

2. Apply 80/20 principle and filter 20% of above that can cover up help remaining 80% things

3. Reapply 80/20 principle on the above things

4. Reapply 80/20 principle on the above things until very few things are left.

5. Now prioritise name and choose most priority task

6. And decompose about task into small small steps

7. Ask yourself why do you want to do this task?

8. How can you help a lot of people by doing above task?

9. What distinct or new things can you do for this task?

10. What Questions are coming into your mind relating to this task?

11. Turn those questions into more positive format so that you can get right answer

Examples of right questions

Instead of why I don't have any goal?, ask What are necessary things to live a better life?

Instead of How can I do that?Oh!, ask What small steps can I take towards reaching my goal?

Instead of How can I make Millionaire?, ask How can I make people's life easier and better?

Instead of Why am I failure?, ask What have I learnt till now? What changes can I do?
